Made a pair of concrete (mortar) tables for the pergola at the lake house.

Did the first one last Fall...

The "wildlife" part comes into play, with a quail.
Quail, being a family name, and the 3rd (of 7, up to me) generations on the property I live on...it's only fitting!

These are formed with melamine board.
I cut a quail silhouette stencil on thick paper(manilla folder), and sprinkled black grout powder...then poured "rapid set mortar" (with flow control)...within an hour, it's set enough to remove from the mold.

    Before the pour...

This Springs project will be to finish up the pergola...and replace the wood tables with these concrete tables...

While I was at it. Did a little side project.
Used a couple flower pots and made dog...er...pig bowl...

The pig is...well...a pig. The jacka$$ would constantly dump over the plastic water dish...needed something with some weight to it. This did the trick!
