I had a pet goat die. I figured for experience I can mount her. But would it be a mountain goat form I would get for a farm Goats hide. Maybe an antelope or Impala form.... 1/2 standing style mount is what I am looking for.

I would think that a Catalina/Spanish goat form would be more accurate if you can find the right size. How big was the goat?

Once she is finished defrosting I will be able to get measurements. But in catalogs the closest thing I have seen as a mountain goat.

The measurements might be close but your talking 2 different kinds of goats 2 worlds apart in shape and muscle details . Might look at Mouflon or Catalina forms

Make your own from tracings of the carcass or go old school and use the skeleton. Yes it is possible to use a form from another critter that best matches the look and size but it will likely need to still be altered. I find it easier to skin the critter, pose it and freeze the carcass and then dismantle it at the hip, shoulder and axis joints and trace each section and carve them individually out of foam. Once you dive into this method you will learn more about anatomy than you ever imagined.

Carcass casting would be another option.

Research Mannikins has a domestic goat form. Look into that.

Thank you so much everyone. I am not ready to cast my own form. That's a little much for me yet but one day I might get there. I will be looking into the different kinds of forms and now I know different companies that have domestics goat forms. This will all get me closer to completing this. Everyone stay safe
