Strenghtening Plaster

    hi I once read you could make plaster stronger by adding white glue to the water before mixing your plaster, has anyone tried this ? im thinking for the splash coats on molding fish

    At one time in the past a stronger plaster was sold . It was named 'Hydrocal", don't know if it's still sold .

    Yes, you can still get it. I got some from a place in Asheville, North Carolina called Highwater Clays. I am sure lots of other places have it also. Highwater is close enough for me to drive there to pick it up when I need it.

    Yes Highwater has it If you pick it up make sure they give you what you ordered I went there and picked up a bag got it home it was not Hydrocal I think they gave me Duracal instead
