  1. Hey all,

I am looking to carve my own foam heads for small animals and was wondering what type of foam is recommended? I want something that will hold it's shape and not react with clay, hide paste, etc

I'm clueless when it comes to foams and was just looking at things like high density foam and balsa foam?

Any help would be much appreciated,

    Thanks!

4lb density is what we use.
Even blue billets for boats can be used also.

3lb would work also. I have used 3lb and 4lb with success.
