Whats Caused These "cuts/tears" In The Hide

    i hope this pics work. Cant find an easy drag a drop and dont see the app anymore.. anyways there is alot of these cuts. i also think i have a little acid rot going on around the brisket. Also the face has a fleshy smell. Seems odd to me. any help is appriciated

    Those appear to be wounds or scars that opened up or the scab came off during tanning

    I agree with 3bears, looks like old scars to me.

    I either cut em out and sew em up or after mounted pinch together and pin until dry depending on when I see them. I can bet that most customers don't see them before or after they harvest the animal. I do ask if they want me to fix them prior to doing so.

    I will def be pinning them if i see them. Its weird to me that there isnt a scar on the inside. Thanks Guys!
