Okay -- SO as the story goes.. I was gifted a large (supposedly ((I don't know the difference)) 100 or so -- year old Desert Big Horn Sheep shoulder mount -- according to a fellow taxidermist). He offered me $500 for the horns..

SO -- the mount still looks good BUT the hair is slipping -- my guess is due to age. My other guess is that there is no way of correcting this slipping issue and I should just disassemble the mount and sell the horns? It's a beautiful mount -- any ideas on how to save it?

P.S. I know I can get another cape and just redo it but since it's not my mount -- I'm not interested in spending that kind of money on a replacement cape.
