I have a bison cape that is filthy with shavings from the tannery. They are imbedded in the undercoat. I washed the cape prior to mounting. I also washed with pert and conditioner after mounting. Thoroughly. Been blowing it for a day and it still has flakes hung up in the fur. Any suggestions? I dont want to rake all the under coat out.

I use a wire pet brush and a strong air hose sprayer then picking last few visible shavings out by hand. It’s still not easy, but keep working at it.
