Looking to getting into taxidermy as a hobby. Interested in starting out on small mammals (probably squirrels). Does anyone recommend getting the kits? I assume its cheaper to do a single animal like that but i plan on doing multiple mounts. Should i buy everything individually? also what brands/taxidermy supply sites do you guys recommend? Thanks for your time.

    1) Do not spend your money on a kit or any supplies. You will be waisting your time. Spend your money on a squirrel mounting DVD sold at Ellzey's squirrel mounting website, Research manikins, and/or Taxidermy Training Unlimited. Also, most suppliers sell squirrel mounting DVDs. Watch them over and over.
    2) Now go to Ellzey's squirrel mounting web site.
    3) Purchase the kit they sell on the website.
    4) When you become proficient at it and want to do more, buy supplies in bulk.
