    My questions are
1-best temp to keep beetle enclosure? Has anyone found that a certain temp gets them eating faster? Reproducing faster?
2-I have my beetles in a 75 gallon aquarium. What factors limit the size of the colony? They have plenty of cardboard/styrofoam and about 1 1/2-2” of pine shavings for bedding. Will increasing the depth of the bedding help or is it only the size of the enclosure that limits the colony.

Use the Advanced Search on here and search just the Skulls and Skeletons section. There is a ton of information on here about keeping beetles successfully. All your questions are on here.

Shredded newspaper is better than pine shavings. Shavings have pitch/sap in them which can be an irritant. Cedar shavings will kill them. How much food you feed them will help control size.

I know this is an older thread but I have found that brain matter also tend to help reproduction. I just keep the smaller skulls whole brain and all. Skin them and go.
