Two owls, ready to go back to the customers. European Barn owl and European long eared.
A lot of Barn owls died last winter due to cold weather. The Long eared was a traffic victim.
Allways sorry to see these birds dead...
Yes sir, you are correct.
Maybe get an free offsite photo storage like flikr or such and post the link. Even someone like me can use it.
This is the first weird mount I have been asked to do in my short taxidermy career…against my advice and better judgement of course. He’ll probably ask for a flying raccoon next week.
Start of a 7 bird deadmount
That’s a really pretty mallard Brooke
First time doing a African Grey parrot. Client said it died during the great ice freeze we had back in February. It was in rough shape. Numerous broken primary feathers. Tail was weird with feathers that looked to be cut. Apparently it also broke its leg at some point and healed terribly. This picture is just after my initial posing and preening.
Awesome job Barry!
Definitely looks better than the African Grey I mounted. The bird I got had been plucking and didn’t have to many feathers... It fortunately had it’s wing, back, and tail feathers. So I did a flying pose. Gotta say though, to me parrots are pretty fun to mount.
