Curious as to what others do. I just received my forms from the supplier. The first one I pulled out was just the neck and shoulder, no head. The head got broke off and was laying in the bottom of the box. Would you glue it back on and go or have the supplier send you a different one?

Fix it. If it is a game head then I would either foam or bondo it back on and run rods down into both pieces.

I would fix it. No one wants to get broken items, but fixing it wiil add another skill to your tool box!

It happens sometimes. It's not really worth the hassle of contacting the supply company. Most likely the damage is on the shippers end.

The thing that does erks me is when the head is wrapped in that sheet insulation material, and a chunk of nose or eye is missing, yet there is nothing inside the wrapping. Telling me that whomever wrapped the head knew about the damage, yet boxed it anyway.

Call the company and get a credit to fix it . And tell them to make a note to put more packing in box on your account . Time is money and you should get pd something to fix there issue.

$600 base ROLLED of the BACK of the UPS truck. Picks of box & damage sent and got $120 credit and they go after UPS. McK took care of it. Fixed in about an hour(most I ever made as a Taxidermist).

Call your supply company. Time is money, unless you are just a hobbyist, and don't care. Your supply company should ask if you want to return the form. I would fix it with bondo, and accept the credit for your next purchase. Believe it or not, but it'll cost you more in time and money, than it does for these major suppliers to give you a little credit on your next purchase

In the last month or two I have had McKenzie PICK UP two bases, both had dings in the wood. It was boxed that way. Maybe calling and bitching will make them do a better job.

I called and they were great about it and are sending a new one. I thought about fixing it and going on as it was the first in line, but I guess I payed for something new that I shouldn't need to fix. It doesn't take but a couple days to get shipment. It was in a box with 3 other forms sitting in a way that breaking was a big possibility, and it did.
