Good evening everyone. I'm looking for a Taxidermy apprenticeship/mentor, preferably in Central MA, to help me work towards my dream of becoming exceptional in the art and field. I already have a mentor in CT that has been teaching me bone and hide preservation, and I'm often praised for my attention to detail and artistic eye. I'm ready to move forward in excelling my knowledge in full taxidermy mounts. I have experience with hide removal, fleshing, & drying for both mammals and birds, bone cleaning using both natural decomposition and cold water maceration, skull reconstruction, and bone whitening. I'm very passionate about the work and feel that this is what I should be doing as a profession. I would love to work at a Natural History museum as a specimen curator some day. If you or anyone you know is looking for help in their studio, please reach out. Thanks for looking!
