im tanning a coyote for the first time and while breaking the skin and working it, some areas stay stiff. can i re-apply more ProPlus oil to get the hide softer? should i wait until the whole hide is broken and dry to apply more? or should i try sanding to soften it?

    i used ez-100 to tan

No applying oil to a dried hide won’t work. Oil wont be absorbed into a dried skin. You’ll need to hydrate the flesh side again then reapply the oil and when it’s 85% dry begin to break and it should be fine. But as you’re breaking the hide and it’s drying hard, you then use a damp sponge and just damp that area up and continue to break
