BO-N-ARO Hunt hard but hunt safe!

Customer dropped off a big South Texas buck that has scares, wounds and split ears. One eye apparently was punctured and was all swollen around the eye.
Yip, you guessed it, he wants it mounted that way. many ideas how to make an eye that is “deflated “/ flattened?

use a large acrylic fish eye and heat with soldering torch

Have pics and send to any of the eye companies, they will make one . I’ve done it before. Tohicken is my choice

They sell a blind eye I think it was in James Taxi supply, I just saw it the other day looking at their new catalog.

Yea they do but if a damaged eye , flat or a deflated look , it also can be made with pics

Wayne Cooper has flexible deer eyes also, you could heat it as suggested and then air brush it to your liking then gloss with a matte finish

Sculpt it in with Apoxisculpt and then paint it to match a photo of the damaged eye. I would charge extra for dealing with that kind of damage.

I can't see what your trying to replicate but a standard eye set deeper into the socket might have the look your looking for?

May want to try Modge-podge with a little white paint to make it cloudy as you can let it thicken up and give it that goopy dang that must have hurt look

I had the same request this season for a swollen and punctured eye. I talked him out of it. Told him the damaged eye would be the focal point and he'll have to explain each time to everyone why the eye is suppose to look that way.

Did one, Buck blind in both eyes. A huge doe was leading him, shot with a 357 at 30y (he said)
Ping Pong Ball for one side the other was an open socket healed up really nice, but no eye ball. Missing about 50% of both ears and a nub of a RT antler and the other was a huge 3point. Main, a "Y" and a 12 in brow tine.
