Have a client who's wanting to know the value of a white buffalo shdr mount she has. I have no experience in buffalos and don't know if it is authentic or dyed. Any help would be appreciated or leads to someone who might know

Are you sure that's really buffalo hair? If it went to ebay with a reserve, a person would find out if there's any interest.

I'm not sure at all. I've done 1 buffalo mount in 40 years of taxidermy. I'm in coastal TX. Looking for info from experienced peers

Looks like a made up buffalo out of glued pieces of Merino sheep wool and cow horns. What's with the bare spots around the eyes and muzzle ?

I agree - sheep wool and cow horns - the only buffalo part is the form underneath it all.

Those were my first thought also. Sheep skin and cow horns.

Tell your client that when she has a white buffalo shoulder mount to let you know (this is not) and then a value can be determined.
