I've used denatured alcohol for years and have noticed in the last few cans I got that when I dilute with water at 50/50 it turns to a milky white color and smells like a bug spray for the garden. Always been cloudy when mixed but nothing like this. I guess the mixture has changed in what they're adding to it now.

Called the company and was just informed the EPA made them reformulate the DA so that it now can only be used as a fuel.

I don't think it will effect the action of the alcohol but test it anyhow.

Doesn't have any effect on the action but the smell is beyond strong when you add water now. Has a malathion smell to it now.
