    PP NOT ALWAYS YOUR FRIEND
I'll keep it short, try to. A _____ purchased two piebald fawns from me and had me mount them. 1500.00 deposit over 4 months. They have a bal. due. I got an email saying they wanted a refund. I said no they will be finished in a month. They emailed me back that they had a pet surgery emergency and needed the money. They contacted PayPal and PayPal put a hold on my PP account. I can't use it, it's blocked until I give them back 1455.00. Isn't that nice, I filed all the paper work buyers emails etc. They tell me I might not get a decision for at least 75 days. Its the buyers credit card co. that is the problem and of course PP for siding with them AND PUTTING A HOLD ON MY ACCOUNT.. SUCKS.

That's just plain ol' sorry! When someone else can manipulate the way you do business and you have no recourse...sad! Hope there is a way you can resolve this soon. Keep us posted.

That is just wrong. I use PP all the time and, fortunately, have not had any issues. Hopefully, you can show to PP that the money sent to you was for work already done and it is not a simple matter of an item purchased. The pet owners can apply for Care Credit which gives them at least a year, with no interest, to pay off a vet bill. They may not know about it and I have used it several times with big vet bills. Custom taxidermy is contract work. It isn't as simple as asking for a refund. PP may not be necessarily siding with the CC company but they need to get as much info as they can. Make sure they know that the client bought raw material from you and had you alter it, at their request, into such a form that you can no longer sell it.

This is the first time I have done a big deal off eBay. Just using PP alone. I have been f___ed a couple times on eBay using PP. You'll like this one, I sold 4 Fenwick rods to an ASSHOLE in Virginia, 600.00 my post had plenty of pictures and I even sent more. After I paid about 50.00 total for shipping he received them and claimed (NOT AS DISCRIBED) to eBay. After a short battle eBay had locked my PP account, charge my account and paid the asshole and charged me the 600.00. I had to pay to free up my account. The worst thing is he got to keep the rods, made no sense.
Here is the latest eBay rip-off, sold a trail camera to another true blue asshole. It was shipped using eBay's USPS label, it never arrived. I tried tracking called the PO in my town and in his town. He put in a claim to eBay and again locked up my PayPal account and paid him the 190.00 and I had to pay that to free up my PP account. Now the real asskicker, about 4 days after this whole thing was over I got a email from Post Office saying the camera was just delivered 43 days after sent. I called eBay and they said email him and ask for a refund or the camera returned. I did and the buyer said GOOD LUCK , THANK YOU

That’s why I put at the bottom of my receipts deposits are non refundable. say on a replica I take a 450 dollar deposit. Blank costs me 400 to get to my door. That’s not a rtp. If I gave a refund back I wouldn’t be out 450 dollars I’d be out 950.

paypal is a scammers paradise. that said I am waiting over 6 weeks now on a guy that I sent the goods and then see the ck was not signed. multiple pm`s and phone calls and a replacement ck always in the mail. going on 6 weeks now he has the goods and me no ck. $235 worth plus I paid the shipping. another one forgot the shipping but I sent it anyway as he said he would send more $. still waiting on that on e too. both txidermy sales on here. they have one more chance then I list their names and address as bad dealings.

You all collect before you ship yes, well I would only except money orders or bank transfers . It’s a shame it has come to this but PP being able to control how they do Is ridiculous . They should at least investigate it before locking accounts. Maybe they can let you write up a contract before stating it’s a non refundable deposit and such . It’s great they protect the buyers but at times the seller needs to be protected also . Goodluck to all

I understand everything you guys are saying about paypal and I agree you got screwed over however, is is risky for a buyer to make a purchase with money orders because they too can get screwed by scammers. There have been several things on here I wanted to by but the seller only wanted to be paid by money order, or worse yet, Western Union. Usually they had an excuse like, "I am having problems with my paypal account at this time." Huge red flag. I let the deal go. (These are generally new sellers also) Twice the buyers got screwed over.

Bob is a well established seller and I have always sent him money orders without really thinking about it but even established sellers can also screw you. Everyone needs to be cautious when making purchases, both buyers and sellers.

Did you refile with ebay on this? Send them a copy of the e-mail? I would think they could come back at the buyer with the evidence that he admitted he received the goods.

I use Paypal to process all my credit card transactions. After I process the card, the amount shows up in my Paypal account, less the fee. I immediately deposit that amount into my business account linked to Paypal. Once it's there, usually overnight, no one can touch it.
Been using it for about 10 years now without a hitch.

Read the fine print. If you folks only listened - lol! I warned you all on here about 20 years ago that PP sucked and doesn't protect the seller at all!!!.... Unless you do Ebay I personally see absolutely no reason to use PP and in fact I do Ebay on occasion and do not have a PP account! I guess that limits me to some purchases. Oh well!!!

seems several are worried a buyer may get screwed. well let me tell you sellers get screwed as much or more by pay pal users. bow deadlys instances are perfect examples. how to avoid getting ripped off? avoid buying anything too cheap to be true, and deal with only established sellers with a good record. it is very easy to make a post on the buyers/sellers forum ( this one) and ask for reviews on so and so.

I use PayPal almost every day. Only ever had an issue and a phone call to them resolved it. You might want to try that. Good luck.

CALLING THEM is a waste of time, they side with the buyers 99% of the time. You get a different person every time you call. Some you can't even understand them.
