Sunshine is great for a lot of things, but not for taxidermy mounts, rugs, antlers, etc! I have had several items, like bear skin rugs, brought to me that have been severely sun bleached after just a few years of being displayed in a high intensity area of direct sunshine. On the other side of the coin, I also have mounts that are 60-80 years old that look terrific! https://www.mountsforsale.com/product/mule-deer-shoulder-mount-m-114/ This is a 68 year old mule deer taken in the Kaibab and it looks amazing! Please advise your clients about proper display and care for their mounts so that they can have a long (and attractive) life for the owner and future generations to appreciate.
