Just curious how many skulls per year you do?
This is our 3rd year doing it as a business and we did 60 whitetail skulls. The area we live in only has whitetail as big game the other end of the state has hogs and bear but we don’t in our area. I did a couple coons and coyotes last year but not this year.

I am not a commercial taxidermist and only do the deer skulls that I shoot myself, so only three last year. But for my job, I ran 334 bird skeletons through my bug colony of 170 different species and subspecies ranging from the size of a hummingbird to Macaws and Red-tailed Hawk.

WOW that is a lot of birds. I'd say bugs are better for those than maceration. I've macerated smaller animals and have to put bones back together like a jigsaw puzzle.
