4 things I learned about doing whole sale.
    1. There’s no money in it
    2. There’s no money in it
    3. Guys like to wait till there’s no time left to bring you the fish.
And 4. There’s no money in it.

    I must say guys
A dear friend of mine was one of the richest taxidermist I’ve ever known
He built his business in a chicken house and made big bucks mounting fish from all over the country wholesale

I put the same amount of time and effort into my own customers piece as I do for another taxidermist. Offering that at a lower( wholesale) price for me makes zero sense.

As do I... It would make sense to you if you didn’t have a big enough client base to get by.I have three well established bird guys within a stones throw from me, they get a majority of the work around here.example:

I took in roughly 100 birds from last September til now.Of those only 12 were non wholesale.Believe me when I can get the regular customer work my wholesale business will be on the back burner, but for now it’s the work that is there so I take it.It does suck making a fraction of what I get on hunters birds, but it’s better than nothing and keeps me busy.

    Guys
My bass I do are 300 each
I do lots of work for other taxidermist in my area at 300 ea
First off they are over loaded with other stuff
They make $10-20 on my mounts
It’s a win win for us both
I only take in 15 deer heads a year
And they help with the rest at thier price plus 10%
You must have a proper business plan in place to make money
