This is a young male Gray Squirrel. He is the second mammal I have ever skinned and mounted. Much more improvements from the chipmunk I had mounted last year. I used an Ellzey’s squirrel form. And he is also just a free standing mount, so I can put him on my shelf. I have also mounted a fox squirrel which is still drying. He actually turned out better than I had expected.

    Thanks guys! :)

  5. Nice work. You did a good job on the tail. A lot of people have trouble with squirrel tails. Keep at it and post your fox squirrel when you are finished with it.

For me the tail is actually one of the easiest parts! But, yeah I’ll totally post pics of the fox squirrel soon as she’s done!
