How Much Is A Caiman Worth?

    Friend of mine had a pet Caiman that died on her last night.

    He was about 25.5-26 inches and a few pounds.. wouldn't eat and therefore passed away. She has him packed up in the freezer just in case https://trackeasy.fun/usps/ https://showbox.tools/.

    Is it even legal to sell them? I'm going to assume she had a permit and everything for him.. since he was well.. exotic and such.

    She was curious what price-range one of this size and what-not would be. I can get pictures of him if needed. I saw him when she first got him, and he's beautiful.

    Legality is going to depend on the species. Spectacled and dwarf are the most common in the pet trade, and should both be legal as taxidermy. Of course whether it was ever legal as a pet depends on the state, but should be good to go as taxidermy. That said, no idea what the value would be, but I can tell you that I paid about $80 for a spectacled caiman skull that’s about 11”.

    Had a lady bring me one a few years back that had been in her freezer for ages. It was basically freeze dried. I couldn't do anything with it, so I tossed it. I would say to set a price on it, if it doesn't sell, keep lowering it until it does sell.
