But Mrs Murphey isn’t happy about the vehicle I used!
That's actually a really good idea!
Exactly what I do , I go pic it up 2 hour drive one way , but it’s cheaper then $700 in shipping as I order all at once 3-4 grand order . Works for me .
I made a 465 mile round trip yesterday. It's been costing me $18 per mannikin. We put a hundred mannikins in my (her) RV, spent $125 on fuel to save $1800 in shipping costs. I gave up a day of shop time, but it was well worth it. The real problem is that I was worn out upon our return!
Plus you got to keep all the discounts and didn't line the overpaid UPS/FedEx drivers! Definitely worth it. Spending a day with the wife and eating out is all a plus in my book.
Hmm, you could keep that stuff in the RV and open up a mobile taxidermy shop!!!
Someone made a road trip to Baker, Louisiana.
Did you go see Mr Martin?
That's what I going to do. But my wife and I think instead of doing a day trip. Use the money saved on shipping for a weekend get away.
Carry some plastic sheeting with you. Forms are messy. I swept and vacuumed and swept and vacuumed again!
I didnt even think about that. Thanks joey!
Let me know next time you go. I'll place my order with you. Maybe you'll just charge me half the price.
Shipping’s actually not insanely expensive if mckenzie passed along the volume discount they receive from both fed ex and ups. They get to pocket 30-40% of what they charge for shipping.
