What Color Is This Fox Pelt And Is It Natural Or Dyed?

So I bid on this fox pelt on ebay that's just simply listed as "brown fox". I've never seen a fox that dark brown before. I was wondering if its a natural color or if its been dyed? Aso, if its a natural color, what is the name of the color morph (burgundy, colicott, cinnamon, pastel, etc. for example)?

Also really don't like those eyes they used. Is there a way to remove them without damaging the pelt and replace them with different eyes?

Yes, it makes sense that the pelt shown would be a bleached silver. You can still kind of see the lighter silver furs peeking through in a lot of spots. I wasn't sure if those were patches of messing fur at first, but now that you brought up it being a dyed silver, I think it's just the undyed silver fur, rather than missing fur. Hopefully even though not natural, the color will still make for an interesting and unique piece for my very first taxidermy collection piece. Might even try my hand at making him my first mount if I can find the space for him in my apartment. Otherwise, I guess he'll just have to hang out on my wall.

Chippers I was afraid of that. Although at the very least he'll make a nice starter project for my first mount if I decide to mount him. Although the photos kind of look like the seller already atleast partially mounted him. And those horrid googly-eyed looking cartoon eyes have got to go.

There’s this metal thing in his mouth for some reason. Is it there for a purpose or can it be pulled out?

Looks like they used the real nose.

He has legs and feet including some of his claws too although it looks like some of the paws may be incomplete/partially damaged.

No real ears on him. Tuffs of fur in the shape of ears.

He’s also very soft.
Also pretty sure at this point he’s not mountable unfortunately. Still a neat collectible though.
