Just new to taxidermy and was wondering which are the best tans available for whitetail, bears etc or should I use a tannery? Only one in my province is in Caroquet NB.. anyone with experience with that tannery with taxidermy capes? Thanks in advance

Not the right section but, to be honest, I send most everything to Wildlife Gallery. If you are looking to do a rug, bears suck to do by hand and WG turns out exceptional dry and soft hides. Moyles is also another good tannery. Make sure you mark/punch your hides and wire the claws so they don't get lost in the process. Tanning a hide properly is WORK and I'm happy to pay someone else to do it. Make sure they are prepped and shipped properly and you shouldn't have any problems with professional businesses.
