Mummified Skull

    Haven't had one this bad yet. Guy said it's been sitting in his garage for about 4 years. Told him I'd see what I could do, but no guarantee on how white it'd be. We discussed just letting it stay rustic. I plan to drop it in the maceration tank and see how it comes out.

    Have done some Barbados Rams that were very similar to that. They turned out very nice.

    It's looking pretty good, I've got it in peroxide and should have it out in the next day or two. It actually cleaned up a lot better than I thought. I'll post pics in a couple days.

    Those things are sometimes difficult to whiten. The fats leeches into the skull and binds to the bone matrix. Maceration was certainly the rout to take with that one! Hope it finishes well.

    Took it out of the peroxide yesterday...looks pretty good, a couple spots around the eye sockets, but overall pretty happy with it considering what I started with. Still going to work on it a little before I'm finished.

    Positively need before and afters of that one. Looking remarkably better so far.
