So I've been doing exclusively predator animals for a little over 2 years now. I know it's a bit unusual to start off doing predators instead of deer, but I guess there's no one way to learn taxidermy.

I want to hear any lesser-talked about tips for mounting deer. I've watched videos on YouTube and have a strong grasp on the basics from browsing the forum as well (how the lips are supposed to tuck, ear placement, sculpting ear butts) But if there's any tips the pros would have told themselves when they were starting out, for example, I'd be very willing to hear them! If you have any specific video recommendations as well, let me know!

1 Pro 1 hide paste everywhere.
2 Don’t make your tucking slots to big
3 Form prep is the key
4 Cape as thin as possible
5 Bag and adjust mount for 4 days so it dries slowly.
6 most importantly most if not all U tube videos suck and lead beginners down the wrong road . As Tangle said get Rick Carter’s video.
