  1. Mounts are long term dividends! With proper display and care of your taxidermy items, they can last for generations to come. I have added a photo of a vintage muley deer that I have in stock for sale that is from the early '50's. He is in pristine condition with no noticeable signs of deterioration whatsoever! A great buck and pose that would be hard to date from that time frame by just looking at the taxidermy workmanship and quality. I have also had elk and caribou mounts that are more than 80 years old that were in excellent condition even if they were a little more dated in their appearance. Treasure your mounts and take good care of them, they can last beyond your lifetime and be appreciated for decades to come.
