Are you using any primer before painting?

Mike, also, if you are using a high quality molding material, you should not have to use any separator at all. The 2300 is of good quality and is a good universal product. The main issue with many casting plastics is the fact that they are non pourish and dry to a very slick finish that inhibits the paint from bonding to your parts. This can be overcome by buffing with super fine BRASS wool then a wipe down of acetone or better yet MEKP hardener or Styrene. You then give a light coat of primer. You can also tint your casting material leaving you a colored part, cutting out all the steps I mentioned. To better help you, what mold material are you using as well as your casting material?

Using smooth on silicone and smooth on casting, making eagle skulls and grizzly claws so multi colored parts.dont need realesed until mold gets used a bunch .primer seems like might be the answer.thanks!!!
