Unfortunately, I just discovered that a freezer had been out for at least a month. I have a
prime furred tanned whitetail cape that is the only survivor. It was dry tanned by WG and soaked and prepped before freezing. The hair seems to be tight and epidermis intact.. but it has a REALLY foul odor. If it was just average cape I'd probably just experiment with washing. This one is a special cape 26" comp. quality so I'm leery of causing damage. Maybe over thinking this but would love to hear about how those who had similar experience and safely deodorized and saved a similar cape. Thanks to all.

If properly tanned , and I’m sure it is from WG , then you should have no issues washing it in anything. I’d get a good skunk deodorizer, I believe pro 1 has a good deodorizer . I would wash it in that and rinse then roll in a towel to dry some . Then refreeze it . You should be fine .
