Nice work everybody. Custom mold and cast Flying fish. Casted with clear surf board gel coat and micro fiber matt. All coloring was done in the fiberglass. No paint or any surface finishing products were used. Tinting was done with powders mixed into the clear and hand brushed into the mold.

 

So this is my first replica, and my first fish using powders. Thanks to our great friend Clew for his help.

Very nice Ryan! molding some Bonefish now. What airbrush do you use for your fine detailing?

shoot everything with a hp bc plus.
Fine detail I just take the needle cap off

skinmount boot. At 18 per inch( had this fish around for a little while) effort minimal.
