I'm doing my first pike reproduction, and have three questions:

    1. What Life Tone paint mixture would you use for the pike in the reference photo? Many pike in our area are similar, they're not too green.

    2. What layers do you put down before creating the bean spots?

    2. What technique do you use for creating the bean spots, without having to airbrush around them after creating them using thinner on a Qtip?

Thank you! Any advice is appreciated.

There is no 1 mixture but rather layers starting form white to pearls to yellows and browns and greens. I start putting the beans on after the first color other than white is applied. I will use my airbrush and or qtip and thinner. This is a step that will need to be repeated throughout the process to some degree.
