How would you form floppy ears like this? I was planning to use thinned bondo as usual, and just shape them to hang down instead of sticking up like I’m used to.

    I use altraform

Altraform comes in a precut sheet 43" by 55" Both sides are covered in a thin muslin-one side a little heavier than the other. The heavier side will prevent the material from sticking to itself and other materials while the lightly covered side will allow the AltraForm to stick not only to itself but to other types of plastics as well with the application of dry heat. Decorate as with the other thermoplastics. Also known as Wonderflex.
You can cut shape it to your needs. It’s thin and makes great earliners

    Fiberglass bondo works well also.

Mixing in a little chopped fiberglass for strength?

We have a nice product here that contains soft fiberglass strands. Its not as runny as the purple colored one made in Mexico, but same type of product.

Where do you get the Altraform? I’d like to try it.

Is this the same material Mckenzie sells as celastic earliner fabric?

I wound up screwing up- made the bondo too thin and didn’t use enough. Curled up crap. I soaked, opened them back up, scraped it out, and inserted custom ear liners I made from poly sheet plastic, cut and shaped with a heat gun, then scored w scissors and sanded. Took a whole working day but pleased with the result, at least compared to the first round!
