How Important Is It To Encase/frame Crustaceans Under Glass?

    Hello,

Like the title asks, I'm wondering how important it is that a taxidermied crustacean be framed beneath glass. Shadow box frames are more expensive and there isn't very much variance in their design. They're all pretty much flat black or white and I like the more antique aesthetic. If it's a significantly better idea that they be kept behind glass, that's what I'll have to do. But if it won't make a big difference until decades down the line, then maybe not.

    Thank you for your insight!
