My work bench is empty ,not one deer, guess I should start using one eye instead of two.

    aussiesam I'm an Australian.

Got my first eland mounted up today. Feel free to comment on anything you think could be done better. I had one of my taxidermy magazine's with an eland mounting article put aside to work with but I'd put it somewhere I wouldn't forget to use it ...... and I've forgotten where ive put it ><

It is leaning forward a touch, this old stand is slowly dying holding this one up.

Not on the stand yet but just skinned this guy out. By far the largest and most unique deer that I have had come in so I’m pretty excited to work on him. 90C7A5C6-1350-4694-87F3-0E69A9CE1D09.jpeg

Jessewild over all nice job on your buffy. A couple things stand out. The leg position looks like he's stepping off the log so when they are relaxed keep both legs straight under the bird. If he's stepping the head would come out of the relaxed position and be leading the bird off the driftwood so to speak. Also try to tuck the wings down into the side pockets and let the side pocket feathers cover the wing. Use reference pics of live birds and you will see where the bird holds its wings and legs and head while doing different things. The head could be groomed more their head looks as though the top of the head didn't fluff up a much as the rest did. Over as a really good job keep at it. Be safe

Another mountain Gato on deck. But . . . this is one of my personal ones from almost a decade ago, said I wouldn't shoot any more cats until I put one of my forever freezer cats together. Have some pups that I wouldn't mind tipping a few out to this year, so I guess it was time to get him together. 20211206_153317.jpg
