I have a coyote that I want to try mounting that was dispatched in the head with a 22. Is this a hard patch to pull off correctly? Or should I be able to sew and not really see the hole through the short fur?
Ive never attempted this before so I am unsure.

I repaired a red fox shot between the eyes with a .223. It's barely noticeable. 20210219_155516.jpg

Slice the damaged area with a football shaped wedge and sew. This is a common repair on any part of the body.

This will be the easiest repair you can hope for in taxidermy.
ARUsher and Bradley Smith like this.
