    Hi there.

Just wondering if there is anyone one here who may be experienced with very old mounts and repair of? I have no information like where it was mounted or when or by who.

I have had a client ask if its possible to repair a broken tail, (skin splits) and restore some color to the back of the mount, suffering sun fade. His ears are almost transparent but not included in the required repair work.

I have see some tiger restoration work in Breakthrough or taxidermy today mags but this mount is a lot older, (Straw or thick excelsior stuffing, possibly real skull), and I know I can try a small indiscreet section first.
(If mounted here it could be younger than elsewhere as we seem to be behind the times and played catch up down here for a long time).
I can provide pics to anyone able to advise me.

I have restored a tiger rug previously and learnt valuable PPE lessons, but im pretty sure this guy is even older than that one.
My email is [email protected] for anyone with advice.
