Broken Deer Skull

Can you post a picture? there are a few ways to do this, I'd just like to see it first.

 

Are you going to put the cap/cover back over the skull? If so it doesn't really matter what you use...epoxy glue will work, jb weld, gorilla, superglue...bondo will but I'd probably use epoxy. Then you could alway drill a hole through the skull and put a screw on each side to hold it in place.

 

Bondo will work mix up a little batch (Read directions on can). Loosen the screws place the Bondo under the skull plate and push the skull back together. Hold in place until Bondo kicks. It gets a little warm then tighten the screws and replace the cover. Good luck

 

Get yourself a couple pcs of wire bout 5 inches long , old metal coat hanger is perfect, drill 2 holes , across from each other bout 3/8 in from break on both side of break for total of 4 holes . Take rack off plaque . Bend wire in a U shape putting it thru both sides of skull in the holes you drilled across from one another, now from the underside cross that wire and twist it together with pair of plyers as you twist it will pull both sides back together, repeat on other holes you drilled , now it’s a seam that can’t come apart, pour little bondo in brain cavity over and burring wires. It is now stronger then it ever was . Put back on plaque and cover . Done

 

With all sue respect, Bondo is a filler, not an adhesive.

 

Thanks for the do respect Webster . . . I was thinking of it as a supportive material not an adhesive. Once supported and the metal bands are secured adhesion is no longer needed or important to stabilize the skull. Just my reasoning for the advise on materials that can be used.

 

Kinda like casting a broken arm...it doesn't adhere, just supports and holds it together.
