Hide Paste

PRO 1 , end of story

 

I've used this on both DP and tanned skins. I really like it. It's water soluble so you can get it out of hair easy while it's wet. Locally available with no shipping charges, and about half the price of Derma-Grip, which is my favored hide paste.

If the companies that I order my taxidermy supplies from carried it, I'd give it a try.

 

Switched over to klei extreme hide paste from pro 1. Just as good and zero waste and wayyyyyyyy cheaper to ship. Comes in powder form and you just mix what you need. Not paying anymore to have water shipped! But then again I only do fish

 

I order by the 5 gallon bucket and I don't have any waste, the chit lasts a long time in a closed bucket. Matuska carries it, so shipping isn't that bad.

 

Order it straight from them , where I buy it . Just Google it , in Wv

 

I my self have good results with roman 555. And I can get it here in town.

 

Used most of them and believe PRO 1 is the best. It seems to actually suck the skin down on day #2. I buy it direct, stock up in the fall since it should not get frozen in shipping.

 

I have used both Pro 1 and Romans 555 and didn't notice any difference in their end results.

 

Been a Pro1 guy for years till I tried Klie. Personally it’s better and cheaper shipping costs due to its a powder and you mix what you need. JMO

 

Pro-1 is the best Ive used hands down, never tried Klie? But if its a powder you can bet Ill put some in Pro-1 and try it alone also.

 

555 and/or Bryans Supreme

 

Never had an issue on the face in regard to paste. If you use enough of anything it should work well.

 

For those that use Klie how much volume wise does one pound make? And where do you get it at?
