Received a nice northern deer that’s been in a freezer for 3 years. I had to soak the head in relax-r solution for 2 days to get it off the skull. The cape has been in that solution for 3 days and has softened up nicely. I turned and shaved everything except for one ear. That sumbich is hard as Interstate 20. I’ve considered going into a pickle with the cape at this point, in hope that it will limber up with time….suggestions? Thanks

I have found they will eventually rehydrate in the pickle

Try to inject pickle into the ear also.
