WINDEX is unreal in our trade , most don’t no of it’s many uses in our trade .
Here is one most don’t know ,

Bondo don’t stick to it , so instead of cleaning up with acetone or lacquer when doing a bondo ear , squirt it and your hands with WINDEX and squeeze and shape the ear , if any bondo comes out a hole or what not it won’t stick to the hair or your hands . Try it you will be amazed.
Also it’s great for getting blood off antlers, spray it on and watch what happens, blood just rolls off .
Good for cleaning hide paste out of mount .
I use it to clean my fleshing machine, being very careful , as it is running spray with windex and then put a rag up against blade and spray it heavy, doing so on both sides , then take WD 40 and do the same thing with a different rag . Your blade is clean and oiled and will not rust .
I use it as a rehydration spray for mounting like if your lip or nose skin gets a little dry give it a squirt . After you sew a cut or the back up wet it down with WINDEX and brush it out .
That’s just a few things I use it for , that CHIT IS AWSOME LOL . Please add to the list if you have a different use you would like to share .

I use it for everything and then some, fortunately I live close to where it’s produced. Mainly use it for bondo, antler and fleshing beam cleaning.

When using water base paints in my air brush I first use windex followed by water to clean brush between colors. I also mix it with a small amount of lysol and do a final wipe down on fish mounts prior to allowing fish to dry.

George The older I get, the better I was.

And if you're dumb like I was and use your bare hands in Apoxie, windex will make the residue just roll off your skin.

I use it to inject into any freezer burn areas like an ear or small mammal foot that was left in the freezer too long.
    Rehydrate it right up.
Saved an otter last year that had been in the freezer for quite awhile. It had been skinned out except for the feet, which were hard as a brick. Windex saved the day!

I have a salt dried cow hide, do you think I could spray it down and get it rolled up into a decent size package to ship it to the tannery?

I believe there was a movie out called “my big fat Greek wedding “ where a character was a windex fanatic and used it for every day fixes

There’s a video of a get together of the cast. He said he had been given over a thousand bottles of windex over the years. People would want him to autograph bottles of it too.

Awesome post! Thank you for sharing. Using to clean blood off antlers was the only thing on the list I knew a out. I of course use it for cleaning eyes.
I will have to remember the Bondo trick.
