My 2nd Fish Wood Carving .....

I recently finished my 2nd fish wood carving (from bass wood). I took it to the World Taxidermy & Fish Carving Championships last week. I entered in the Novice Division and received a blue ribbon. They don't give out scores or critique sheets, but I did get a critique from one of the judges. So I learned a lot. Already have bigger goals for the next one (Intermediate Division). I also didn't have any burner tips for carp scales, so I carved the scales in with a scalpel. And no air brushing.

Thanks, because they are a pretty fish. I had mounted one awhile back. I think some trash fish are pretty.
