Hello. I need advice. Has anyone tried removing spray paint off bones with paint stripper and can recommend a brand? I have a bunch of painted skulls that I need to clean. Tried acetone but it doesn't work too well so looking for an alternative

There are many out there sometimes the paint may soak in the porous bone and it’s almost impossible to get out. Bone should be sealed first prior to any dipping or painting

Very late reply but you're right. The skulls were probably boiled because the surface is very rough which makes removing the paint extremely hard. I don't know if they were sealed but I doubt. I bought them like that to restore them
