I posted a picture the other day of a ducks tarsus with a perfectly healed pellet that split its leg bone. A54A9B4C-2B41-458A-839F-BE55459FCA43.jpeg

yesterday I skinned a turkey and found this monster of a humorous bone. I have mounted many, many turkeys and never seen anything like this. Both sides were deformed but no other bone structure on this bird had any malformation. 380CED8C-9064-46F8-8097-3CF326FA31FC.jpeg

here's a normal size numerous for comparison. I find these things fascinating. C23A58CB-9A4D-41F3-B96F-2DDAF517B951.jpeg

Skinning a deer cape off head once and found a bone of some kind wedged between the jaws between the teeth. It had been there so long the deers teeth wore into the bone. Wish I had more clear pics, very strange to find.

Black white barring in the center of a tail isn’t all that uncommon here. Still a cool trait when it’s very prominent. I’ve got a few pics of weird turkey stuff. Let me scrounge around.

No it was not an antler. Not sure what kind of bone it was. Sure was weird though. It was wedged between it's jaws somehow but not penetrated into the flesh.
