A Journey Into Hen Head Experimentation

    My opinion the pastel finish looks more natural. Do you white out the heads that dried before painting? To me it's much easier to paint them using that white canvas then a dried , dark canvas.
    Like the aggressive tuck to the one head that is tacked above the frame.

    I didn't white them out simply because I didn't want white over spray on the feather, since they had quite a few on their heads. I usually do on toms.

    I’m giving you an A+ for effort on all of them. I’ve never tried to do a natural head on a turkey. As you stated though you have a lot of time invested…
