This is a stunning Polar Bear taxidermy rug mount, most recently reconditioned and cleaned with new felt backing and wall hanging mounts installed by Jonahs in 2014. This bear rug is mounted with the head in a great open mouth pose and comes with a felt border display and a durable felt fabric backing to protect the leather.

This mounted polar bear has been in our family since the 1950s when it was acquired from the hunter who took it in Alaska, USA. We have photos of it laying over our schranke in our grandparents house. The rug is in great hair and hide condition along with fantastic color and size. If rated by a taxidermist it would gain a high rating due to its excellent condition. This is a younger polar bear so the dimensions might fit nicely on your wall display or on a floor in a trophy hunt room. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

Kept in a temperature controlled room and not usually displayed on the family sitting room floor, we felt that it would be good to show the whole mount as it is a young bear and measures exactly 6 feet from tail to nose and span is 5 feet 4 inches from right front claws to left front claws. It is a beautiful mount and already has mounting rings for wall mount installed by Jonahs Brothers Taxidermy. This rug was imported to the U.S. Pre-1972 - making it legal to sell and in compliance with the Marine Mammal Act of 1972. We do not have any paperwork only our photos to show that this rug has been in our family since the 1950s. We are only selling as our parents are now in their 80s-90s and they are in need of the funds to pay for their continued care and health.

That's a nice-looking mount. I'll bet it was done when Jonas was in Seattle. One of the Klineburger Bros might have mounted it as they bought Jonas of Seattle.
The smaller size is going to hurt the price a bit. But it'll sale.
