Hello everyone! I'm using Buckeye Supreme Hide Paste, and I've noticed that it sets much faster than others I've tried. I went to work with another taxidermist on a project and he mentioned the same thing! I live in Colorado, which is a dry climate. If I paste the entire form, and put my cape on and start sewing, I'm barely able to move the cape around on the form by the time I'm done sewing. I've gone to pasting just the face, start sewing to the back of the head/neck, tuck eyes, nose, lips, adjust ears, and then paste the rest of the body and finish sewing down the back. Even then, it's difficult to adjust the skin once I'm done sewing. Is there something I can add to the hide paste to slow its set time? I'd really appreciate any suggestions.
