Bleaching A Blacktail

    B568A456-5DCE-43A5-91B4-3B8C647751F6.jpeg When one of the really nice double throat patches on a Blacktail faded somewhat during the tanning process I got the bright idea I would use the same peroxide/basic white I use to bleach Dall sheep. It was a terrible idea. After less than 10 minutes it looked pretty good, so I rinsed and brushed, only to see reddish spots appear against the white. Won’t do that again!
