My dad trapped his biggest beaver last year. 68lbs. Wants to get it mounted standing up. His local taxidermist told him the only form he can find that is close in size is walking and is also 3” short of what it needs to be. I know there are larger animals that have been mounted. Anyone have any suppliers that have larger forms or any suggestions? Located in central Missouri.

Most taxidermists are able to " adjust" forms as needed. If possible try and find someone with less limitations!

Beaver is usually an easy mannikin to alter.

Research has a big beaver. I had a 50 lb beaver and still had to make him smaller. It's an upright chewing with detailed mouth included

A good taxidermist can alter a form to fit your animal. Find a taxidermist that can.

Indeed if the taxidermist has no idea on how to alter a form, it’s time to find a qualified one!
