im planning on mounting a possum but not sure how to do the tail. I cannot seem to find an artificial one and splitting the natural tail , would make it hard to conceal the stithing when sewing it up, any advice would be greatly appreciated

cast it. Remove tail pose and freeze pull out of freezer and make a silicone mold and then proceed to cast it from your mold.

For some reason, I think I tubed the last possum tail that I mounted. I do about 1 possum per decade!

I have only done 3 possums in my career, and I tubed them all.

Roving the tail bone from the skin without cutting the skin, leaving the skin like a tube.

It's easier to show than describe. Look up "tail stripping" on youtube.
